What version of Windows?

Is this happening regularly, or only once?

If it is happening regularly, you need to restore the registry back to a
time well before this problem appeared. How you do that depends on what
system you have.

Otherwise, there's a fair chance that you might run into more serious
problems, depending on how badly the registry is corrupted.  This is often
caused by bad shutdowns followed by improper procedure on the following reboot.

In Win XP you can use its System Restore. Go back to a date well before
this problem first appeared.
