Hello All,
        In a rather bizarre and twisted way I believe I found a solution to my
problem downloading from the Windows update web site. I installed Internet
Explorer 5.0 and I can now download. I believe my problems began when I
manually deleted some Active X files from the "Downloaded Programs" folder
in the windows directory. Installing IE 5.0 merely reinstalled the missing
Active X files. FYI ;)
