Hi Mispie (Sharon) ;)

I think you mean you use Internet Explorer for your browser, rather than Windows
Explorer (being the file&folder browser/manager.)
Nevertheless, since you mentioned that "everything is up-to-date" ,it could also mean
that you unwittingly installed IE8.(through Windows Updates)
There seem to be a lot of complaints and problems with this version.

A current thread is running on PCSOFT regarding this.
You may want to check the version of IE.
If it is IE 8 ,consider uninstalling it and wait till some of the kinks have been
worked out.

In the meantime use IE7 or Firefox or Google Chrome or Apple Safari

In fact, there are a whole bunch of browsers available.

i use windows explorer for my browser, xp for windows and everything is up to date,
but when i try to open a web page it gets to the very end of opening but it seems
like it just hangs right there for several minutes before it will open. am i missing
a file to get this to open or what would be causing this? it is very annoying and i
have considered using other browsers but i am not sure which one is best.
thank you for any help. mispie
