Maybe this is just the next level in the "browser/access wars" and they are
willing to eat that kind of loss, but I have a hunch that all you will be
getting is the box, keyboard, and maybe a mouse. At that price, I don't see
how they can be including the monitor and printer.... or any software
(except the O/S and free web browser).
Several major chain stores are now routinely advertising $500 & $600 PCs and
the fine print always says something like "Monitor and printer shown for
illustrative purposes only" In other words, the monitor and printer are not
included.
IMHO, it's kind of like a car salesman saying Yeah the car is only $5000.
Now.... would you like some wheels to go with it? Seats? Oh no, that's an
option on this model......
