I use a little freeware program called WinKey. I did a search on Google and
this is one of the hits.

It's easy to use and lets you assign the Windows Key plus a letter or number
to open any programs you want. I've been using it over 2 years and really
like it.

I would like to make a shortcut to my favorite programs in a way that i can
hit a function key so they will open up. Problem is it will only work if i
have the shortcut file on my desktop. Is there a way of making it work
without cluttering up my desktop?
