If you are that concerned.....
Backup all your data, then backup all your data to a second source.
Download a 30 day trial version of a virus detection program like
Dr. Solomon, or McAfee. Install it and run it. (If it says there are no
virii, then the next step should be safe - but that's not a 100%
guarantee)
Now pick a day when you can afford to lose your PC and set the system
clock to 11:55PM on the day before St. Patties Day. Shut down the PC,
wait
six minutes and then reboot and see what happens.
If you have a virus (which I really doubt after virus scanning) it will
have done
some damage, but at least by backing up your data and picking a
non-critical
time you will have minimized the damage.
