Steve,

I suspect that the problem is that you do not have System Restore
disabled. As long as System Restore is enabled, ANY removal efforts will
result in the infection returning.

To disable System Restore in Windows ME, right click on My Computer,
select Properties, click on the Performance tab, click on the File
System... button, click on the Troubleshooting tab and then put a check
mark in the box by Disable System Restore. After disabling System
Restore I would recommend restarting the computer and then proceed with
the removal (Avast should do it).

Subject: Win32:adan spyware

Hi; I'm running Windows ME with sp2 loaded with spybot, adaware,
spyguard, AVAST antivirus, spyware doctor, and zone alarm freeware. My
Avast tells me I'm infected with WIN32:Adan-052(Adw). Everytime I try to
delete it and move it to the isolation chest, it returns on the next
scan or bootup. Is there any site that has a removal tool for this?
Thanks. Steve.
