Right-click on your desktop and select properties. Select the "Screen Saver"
tab and click on the Power button. Do you have a Hibernate tab at the top?
If you do, select it and see if the checkbox to enable hibernate is checked.
If you don't have a hibernate tab, then your CMOS configuration may not have
this power saving mode enabled, or your BIOS may not support it. Check your
computer BIOS information to find out more.

effects.  My current desk top computer has no apparent hibernation mode, but
I have seen it as an option on some machines.  Does it vary by OS?
