Greg,
What are you using to fix the registry? Most registry editing programs
including Reg Edit will remove anything from the registry (and that's the
danger - it's too easy to screw up your registry).
So... Fix the registry by removing any instances relating to the Kaspersky
AV program then just delete the program folder and contents. If portions of
the folder won't delete, then depending on your version of Windows, you
will need to set up the remainder to be deleted upon reboot.
