Denis,

I know that my way is probably not the best, but it works for me.

When I want to stop my printer from printing, I pull out the stack of
printer paper, not the sheet it is printing on, but the blank feed
sheets. I immediately get an "out of paper" error and the printer stops
printing.

I haven't noticed any harm to the printer.

Hope it works for you.

I would be interested if anyone on the list knows of a disadvantage to my
method.
