I can't seem to add that button to MSIE v5, but I can to MS Outlook Express.
Mine also seemed to "come and go" (in the past) but I never worried about it.
I may have even had one in MSIE v5, and forgot. (I don't use that button
even if it is there...)
In MSOE v5, I right clicked on a blank spot on the button bar.
(For anyone else without ANY buttons, right click next to (but not on) "Help"
and activate the "Toolbar")
After right clicking, Click Customize.  Add/remove and move around the
buttons you want.     Hope this helps.           Rick Glazier
