I hope you can give me some advise.  I found you through the Computer Lady.

Whenever I try to download anything, it stops responding about 1/2 through.  It doesn't matter whether I open it, or save it to disk.  Many things simply will not download for me, other things take many multiple tries.

I have gone into msconfig and turned everything off that I can possibly can.  I just don't know what to try next.  I always turn off the Norton antivirus and internet security programs, along with everything else that is open when I download.  Any idea what could be causing the problems?

Also, sometimes my programs load very slowly, and internet pages won't completely load until I hit the refresh button or back button.

I would really appreciate your help.
