Start with Firefox. Don't allow it become your default browser
at first. Most problems are caused by server side - they don't
recognize it and don't send page at all, send you simplified
page or error message that You must use modern browser.
For these server I use User Agent Switcher - small extension
what You can set to lie to webserver that You have use some
other browser. There is also pages what work only in IE. For
these pages I have ieview extension what allows me to open
pages in IE.

I've been reading about people who have downloaded Mozilla or Firefox having
problems with their previously well-running PCs.  I just read a very good
article in WIRED magazine about Firefox and am interested in downloading it
after reading about the advantages of using it rather that IE.  Can you
