Sounds like you don't have the right codecs installed or you are trying to
run at too high a resolution to support DVD playback for your particular
graphics card. First change your display properties to 800 X 600 at 16bit
colors. If that doesn't help then try removing PowerDVD and then
reinstalling.
There is also a recent patch for PowerDVD 4 that is available on the
Cyberlinks website that should be installed.
