Bill/Mysha,
Try putting a copy (shortcut) of the volume icon in the start menu/startup
directory. Depending on which version of windows you have will determine
where the directory is. Use search to find it in your windows directory -
could be in the system or system32 sub-directory. Then reboot and see if it
comes up on the bar.
