A FAX file is just a picture of the original page.
You can not use a text editor to work on the text in that picture.
You will need an Optical Character Recognition program
to convert the picture into text. Then you can use the text
in the word processor of your choice.
Some FAX programs (and some scanners) have
Optical Character Recognition programs built in.
Seach in Help for OCR.
You may need to Export (convert) the FAX file from the FAX
program in a different picture format (extension) to work with
a scanner program.
