Anyone:
I have a clone running Win98SE, 783 mg of ram, and 2 - 60 gb hard drive.
Since yesterday, my system boots and within seconds of loading, i.e, Windows
comes up. the desktop icons load, the system hangs. This happens whether I
open an appication or not. It just hangs.
I checked the performance tab under 'System' in the Control Panel and it
advises that the drives (A, C and D) are all running under DOS compatibilty
mode. I have no idea what this means but my recollection is that this
message was not present when I last checked this tab.
Any suggestions? Do I need to do clean install and start over again
(shudder)?
Thanks for your input.
