Bitmap files (.bmp) are usually much too large to send via Email. You will
need to convert them to .jpg which will result in much smaller files with
no loss in quality.

Picaview (unlimited shareware) has perhaps the simplest conversion facility
---you can download it at http://www.acdsystems.com or http://www.acdnet.com.

Otherwise use freeware Irfanview--it has a very good batch conversion
section and is highly recommended as a very versatile image
viewer/editor--available at most of the usual freeware/shareware
sites. With Irfanview you can convert any number of files at the same time.

If you have another image viewer program, it's possible that this also will
have a facility for converting file formats from .bmp to .jpg. Just look
under its help file under "convert or conversion".
