David,

The empty folders in 'my computer' are generated automatically when a crash occurs during shutdown
.You'll find that they are also in the root directory, named Dir00001, Dir00002, etc, which are
empty system folders, and should / can not be deleted. hth

I have 2 folders in My Computer that have no name and wont open and
wont show any properties. Have no clue as to how they got there or
when. How can i get rid of them ?

My computer is a 200 Mhz Pentium running Win 95 with all the
updates.
