Hi,

I've apparently done something stupid, but I have no idea how. A couple of
weeks ago, I was using an ACDSee program I got with my HP printer a few
years ago to view some of the photos I've personally taken. Then, last
week, I wanted to go back and continue with those photos and found that
they're all gone, containing folders and all. The surrounding folders
(still containing their photos) are still there. I did a search on all my
hard disks for all files matching the "P and 7 numbers" names that I get off
my digital camera. They don't show up. I looked in the recycle bin and
they don't seem to be there, even though I don't think I emptied it in
between. I've done a search for the folders using the words I remember from
the names and they don't show up either.

I figure I must have deleted them accidentally (or somehow did a mass
renaming?). Is there any way to get these photos back? Would a restore
point before that time bring them back? I realize I should have had a
backup, but some of these hadn't been backed up yet.

Any advice?

Steve
