I'm looking for a fix or an explanation for the following problem. In a
Windows 98 environment usually starting while in Word 97 bu persisting
after exiting to Windows, certain keys take on a "hot key" type function.
 E - launches Windows Explorer, R - launches the Run command, O - launches
Online Services, F - launches the Find command, etc. Usually the problem
will clear up upon reboot but not always. We tried re-installing Windows
and Office with no change. The computer is a Pentium 166 with 32MB Ram
and is a network station on an NT 4.0 network. Office is loaded on each
machine and run locally. I have also occasionally seen this problem on a
new Dell PII, 333Mhz system. Has anybody run into this? Thanks in advance
for any suggestions.
