My husband used WebTV for some of the same reasons (besides the fact
that he can sit on the sofa and surf using a remote!) Your friend can
add up to 5 identities on the same account for no additional charge.
From the Home screen, she would choose Settings. From that page she
would choose Extra Users. I am unclear whether she could use her own
name in the "friendly name," but she would at least have her separate
account. Upon login they would then choose which account to login and
could change users at any time during a session online. No extra charge!
