Here's something that's been on my mind of late...
I remember back in the DOS3.3 days when a finely crafted Batch file could take you far. Heck, I remember the really intricate ones I used to use in some BBS program or another. Very good stuff.
Not so very long ago I tried to create a batch file that asked a question then used the ErrorLevel to check the answer and act based on it.
But even though I remember how to do it, it didn't seem to work in the Psuedo-DOS environments of NT4 and 2000.
Is this type of stuff just not possible in these pseudo-dos?
I would really like to do a couple of things a batch file might be good for... like ask me for a IP/netmask/dns config then run a netsh script to enact the change.
What you guys think?
