Subject: [PCSOFT] Windows XP Home Edition- can not get to Microsoft Download
Center
Please post this along with my e-mail address in hopes of getting some good
advice.
I am running XP Home Edition on a 5 month old Compaq Presario S3000NX
desktop. I am unable to get to the Microsoft Download Center to update
Windows. I get a screen saying "This page you are looking for is currently
unavailable. The website may be experiencing technical difficulties or you
may need to adjust your browser settings."
My ISP guided me in lowering the browser security settings but this has not
helped. I have no trouble going to other non-Microsoft websites but
Microsoft.com and the download Center sites are seemingly off limits for me.
Thanks
Paul Penick
