Well, I have more info that I did last week.

I just acquired a new (to me) IBM Z Pro dual 550 Xeon with a dual boot
Linux and Win 2k.

This is from a dotcom failure and I purchased as part of an asset
recovery. So, I have no info on the system. It starts, loads all
sorts of SCSSI things and checks and rechecks other things. Finally,
it gets to the Linux password and I can't go any further. I can F1 on
boot and look around, but there's really not anything to see.

I don't mind going out and buying a fresh Win2K (not sure about XP as
so many programs aren't ready for it) to load. Will I lose drivers?
Are they on the Win2k or will I have to try to located those as well?

I've never done this before and more of a user than a techie. The
computer will be a home/business computer and nicer than anything I
could afford new off the shelf. So I expect a few bugs getting there.

Open for any suggestions. Thanks.
