So far two people have mentioned different programs that create
RPT files. I have four more (different) programs on my computer
that create RPT files. Zone Alarm (firewall), Symmantec WinFax
(part of Norton SystemWorks), Adaptec Threadmark (hard drive
benchmarking program), and SciSoft Sandra (computer system
diagnostic software) all create reports with the RPT extension.

I don't think that you can say that any one program is the
"owner" of RPT files. As someone suggested, open the file with
Notepad or Wordpad and see if you can tell what kind of
information the file contains. There may be odd formatting,
but you should be able to read a lot of text information.

Bill
