Hi Kimberly,

One method to delete unwanted files is to open Windows Explorer, right-click
on "C" drive and select "Properties." On the General tab by the pie chart is
a "Disk Cleanup" button. There you can selectively delete unwanted files.

There are many 'pros & cons' on the subject of cookies. I wouldn't recommend
deleting all cookies, as most are "good" cookies. They are very small text
files and the space they use amounts to nothing on today's hard drives. An
example of a good cookie: You go to Weather.com and customize the weather
page for where you live. When you return later to check the weather, you
return to your customized page because of cookies. If you delete all cookies
(in Windows Explorer, Internet Options, or by other means), when you go back
to check your weather, your customized page won't be there. You have
Internet Explorer 6 which has better security features than previous
versions and better control over cookies.

I recommend the following programs also. They are both good at identifying
spyware and "bad" cookies.

Spybot - Search & Destroy...

AdAware...

Hello,

I was hoping that you could help me ... I want to know how to go online and
delete all of my files that I don't use. Example being, my temporary files,
cookies, cache ... things like this. I know there are things hidden all
over the computer and I just do not know how to get to them. Any help you
could give me would be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Kimberly Avery
