I am really sorry to bother you all again. I am still plaged with that
"z:vvesd.386" file at boot up. I cannot fix it with the help you gave me
Bob I did not have any of the files listed in my system edit file, and while
I now have the 98rs. (thanks for that Joe) it cannot help with this problem
which preceeded its installation.
I continue to get the message that the file is needed, to run a windows
application and if I deleted this in error to reinstall the application. I
have gone through all my software CD's and reinstalled Win. 98SE. I have
called the Road Runner Tech and he cannot help me (he said it was an
operating sys program). Do I need to format the hard drive, or can I do it
some other way. I just want it off of the computer when it boots up. I
will re-install the application if I find where it is missing.
Can I go into Dos and delete this from start up? I know nothing about DOS,
so I would have to have instruction. I have no problems fixing the
computer, but going into the operating system scares me.
Thanks again for any help you can give me.
