As far as I know, there is no relationship to cookies and Zonealarm.
If you are using Internet Explorer, then...
|Tools | InternetOptions.. | Privacy Tab | Advanced Button (not the tab at
top, but the button near bottom)|
Check Override Automatic Cookie Handling
Under First Party Cookies - select "Accept"
Under Third-Party Cookies - select "Prompt" (or Block)
Check Always Allow Session Cookies
Click Okay, Click Okay
You will
Accept cookies that belong to the site you are visiting (shopping carts)
Be prompted if a third party (read "advertiser") tries to put a cookie
to you
(I always say "no" and see if it still works - some sites won't
work unless you accept
advertising cookies, but most will work just fine)
Accept ANY cookies that will disappear as soon as you leave the site
(session cookies)
If you want an easy icon to Internet Options (even when IE is not in use),
then click...
|Start | ControlPanel | (this is if you have ControlPanel set as
"Menu" instead of "Link")
RIGHTclick "Internet Options" and drag it to your desktop - or to the
Start Menu
and choose "Create Shortcut Here" (do NOT left click it, that will
MOVE it)
Then you can drag it wherever it will be convenient for you to access
it - the QuickLaunch
Taskbar, for example, or Start Menu.
Also, you can set the Start Menu to hold on the left side ONLY the
Icons/Shortcuts that you want there, by.... RightClick Start button, Select
"StartMenu", Click the Customize button
Under "General" tab, set "Number of programs on "Start Menu" to 0
(zero), click clear list
and check or uncheck (depending on whether you want them on start menu -
Internet and/or
Email. Now you can drag shortcuts to anything you wish to the
StartMenu for easy access and they will stay where you put them. To remove
one , just right click it and choose "Remove from this List"

Subject: [PCSOFT] Losing Cookies
Subject: Losing Cookies
From: Jim <[log in to unmask]> Cooley
While shopping online, I selected several items for my online shopping
cart. When I went to checkout the cart was empty. To make a long story
short, my system was not accepting cookies although my cookie settings were
OK. Uninstalling and re-installing Zone Alarm fixed the problem for a while
but it came up some days later. Help would be appreciated
