We have the darnest problem accessing the Task Manager window/Close
Program dialogue box in XP Pro. Each time that we try to open the window
using Ctrl+Alt+Delete, it will display for just a moment and then close.
Moreover, one cannot soft boot or restart the system. Now, the children
previously had downloaded and installed some of these nasty little "spyware"
programs, but we believe that we finally succeeded in uninstalling all of
those. That was our first guess at the root of the problem. An updated
McAfee Virus Scan session reported no infections. Does anybody have an idea
what might be causing this?
