Allen---you have something very weird going on there. Dll's have nothing
to do with image files. You can't open them except in programming language,
and wouldn't want to unless you're a programmer.
Yes, there's a simple way of opening images in different formats (several
actually).
First, download a graphics viewer such as freeware Irfanview and set its
options to open all formats. You'll find it in almost all software sites.
Or just run a Google search for it.
You could also add an option in the right click menu for all files (not
only graphics) to open in whatever viewer you like other than the default
viewer. This is a very powerful and useful facility that you can easily
add to Windows. It involves a little elementary registry editing, and is
actually a good place to learn a little registry editing, as you aren't
likely to stuff anything up if you get it wrong.
The procedure is a little too long to detail here, but if you go to my
