I also found it more nuisance than it was worth. I ended up uninstalling it.
Currently I'm actively running Ewido, WinPatrol and Spyware
Terminator. I'm quite impressed with the latter's interface, simple and
straightforward. It is a bit intrusive but not overly so compared with some
others such as Spybot's Teatimer. Just enough to let you know it's doing
its job. Updates are quick and easy.
Together they seem to give quite adequate active protection. Ewido has the
advantage of context menu scanning.
