I need some help. I'm being overwhelmed with surprise windows popping up when my computer boots or when I'm into e-mail. My system is a 4-year old Micron 300 PentII running Win98 orig. I use Incredi-Mail. Most of these windows come from Microsoft products, some form AOL (I loaded it as a free offer but never used it and then uninstalled it), others just pop up at anytime. I just downloaded a program called Startup Cop from ZD Net. But, I haven't used it yet because I'm afraid it might cause more problems. My ignorance of where these invaders live, where they come from, where they hide has just about ruined my confidence. Not that I was ebver overly confident with computers in the first place. Anyone know anything about this problem? Thanks.
