Are the crash messages from Norton CrashGuard or Windows? I've tried both
CrashGuard and McAfee's equivalent (not at the same time). Both of them
kept telling me that they had averted yet another crash, and they were doing
this several times an hour. When I removed them, my system became much more
stable, which forced me to conclude that most of those alerts were false
alarms. I've never heard anyone else complain, so I assumed that my problems
were due to some quirk in my system. Have other listers had similar
experiences?
