Several months back, Microsoft bought out one of the small companies
competing against Wingate and Sygate -- I believe it was the makers of
the "NAT1000" (Network Address Translation) product. My hunch then was
that we'd see that technology in Windows 2000, but apparently Microsoft
thinks it's ready for prime time sooner than that.
