 I have had problems completely un-installing all Norton bits and  pieces. 
The url below was listed by Peter in Aug 2005. It takes you to Symantics  
cleaner page to use if un-install dosen't do the trick. You might find more  
interesting posts in the PCsoft archives. I searched using 'removing  Norton'.
