Hi Lee

I have a Dell Dimension 4100, and I just double click
the mouse to bring it out of hibernation (sometimes it
takes a few tries).

You don't say what model Dell you're using, but the
latest Dimension 4100 flashbios update @ Dell.com
supposedly brings the computer out with a single
click. So you may want to check the Dell site out (new
bios updates come out every few months).

If it still doesn't work, you might want to try
Control Panel / Power Settings and check your settings
in there.
