Alan,

If you installed your font using the Control Panel [i.e. Control
Panel/Fonts/File/Install New Font] it is generally available for use by any
Win95 application.

The reason Word or Wordperfect doesn't tell you how to install fonts is
that it is a Win95 feature.

You also said that "Before I removed & reinstalled Win95, this font was
selectable in both programs".  If you removed & reinstalled Win95 the font
you originally installed is no longer there, you would need to reinstall it.
