No, not unless you convert them to .wav format or your home CD player is
capable of playing MP3's . It will usually have a big sticker on it that
says Mp3  playable or something similar.

Now here is the sneaky option if you have a decent sound card on your PC and
it isn't to far away from your stereo you can use the output or direct out
or synch cord type setup . Click the AUX button on your receiver and walah
MP3's playing through your stereo. It is the same idea as using the audio
out from your TV to your stereo, it is just sometimes the plug connections
are a little different.

Warning! All audio from the computer is also able to come through the stereo
when you do this. If you have Politically incorrect sound bites on your
computer that pipe up every time you close a program, you may want to
silence them or change them. Not that this has ever happened to me
................recently.
