Thank you John. I appreciate the information. When I visited a site to
test my firewall protection ( http://grc.com/default.htm ), ZoneAlarm
did indeed block well. However, when I turned off ZoneAlarm, my
hardware firewall (yes, expensive - Linksys Cable/Dsl Firewall/Router)
allowed the site to breach the firewall.
I don't know how to set my hardware firewall to make it work better. I
know that some bad software can disable anti-virus and software
firewalls, so I would like my hardware firewall to be working properly.
Do you know how I can change the settings?
BTW, the site mentioned above said that BlackIce Firewall did a poor job
and that they had tried to get around the testing at the above site with
code several times, without actually improving the program.
