I designed a form and after it was "finished" I went back and put in
formatting codes (just < and >), input masks and validation rules and
text.  The formatting codes are not working, but the input masks,
validation rules and text are working.

Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

When I created the table, I entered the fields and when I created the
form I rearranged the controls to better suit the form.  I then changed
the Tab Order to reflect the new layout.  This is when I went back and
changed or added the input masks, formatting and validation rules and
text.
