Seems like no one is answering this request - possibly because it was
covered in the list recently, but what you need is a program from PC
Magazine called "StartUpCop". Here is the PCMag URL for their index of
downloads. I'd suggest you make an entry in the Search box at the top of the
page for "startup" or "cop" and it should find it for you.

As far as I'm concerned, it one of the finest utilities around as it allows
you to not only see what is being (and is) loaded and running in the
background, but allows you to temporarily suspend the different programs for
a particular reason. If you want, you can put a stop to selected programs so
you wont be bothered with them again. It saves you having to fiddle around
with the registry in particular.
