I think this is a similar problem to what I am having.  I have two email
accounts. One is Juno the other a local service through my phone company.
I have an Aptiva IBM computer with an MWave modem.  When ever I check mail
on the Juno account, I have to re boot my computer before my modem can be
used again for anything.  Not so with checking mail on this email account
or when I fax or use the answering machine or phone line for phone calls.
This makes me CRAZY.  What is wrong with my modem?
