My wife has just lost some data (1 column) from the middle of an Excel 97
spreadsheet. Scandisk found a piece of the file. Is there any relative
easy way to reconstruct the data from the FILExxx.CHK file? Possibly using
a hex editor? But wouldn't I need to know the Excel file structure? If I
can find the data, I don't mind manually rekeying the data. Final grades
are due out soon so I only have a limited window of time to reconstruct this
data.

Thanks for any help!
