You configure it in this way: when a window pops up, click on the
tray icon and select add/delete popup. When this window opens,
look in the lower frame to locate the name of the offending
window in the list. Double-click on that title and click done.
The offending window disappears and the next time it
automatically disappears. After a week or so the popups virtually
cease.
