Well Don that was the file Norton found as infected and quarantined but
could not clean so they advised me to just delete it. They said it was a
backdoor Trojan but gave no other descriptions. Now I have written them
again and also McAffee with no response. I also downloaded the AVG
anti-virus program and installed and ran it. It found nothing just as Norton
found nothing when I ran it again after I deleted the file in question.

It's seems to be more of an annoying virus not a destructive one. Although
there's always the chance it's packing a payload that hasn't gone off yet. I
am running Win2K Pro and I can't find my cd to check and see if that is a
needed file. What happens is everytime I reboot I get 10-12 error messages
regarding dll files in my winnt. folder. They are saying they are not valid
windows files and to check them against my cd. If I just keep clicking "ok"
they all go away and everything seems to work fine. So I am stumped at this
point.
If anybody here has a Win2K Pro cd and could check to see if I need that
file it would be a great help!
Or of course if any of this sounds familiar to anyone please advise on how
you repaired it.

Thanks Don for replying and I hope some others can help too.

Jimi
