Without a doubt Goback is superior. System restore is a detuned Goback. Goback runs during the boot, so if for some reason you were unable to boot into windows, you can do a total restore (not just system files) to an earlier time, then boot into windows. It also allows you to retrieve files that were accidentally deleted. If you give it enough room to keep info, you can restore every single file going back a week or more. Gateway used to put it on new computers because it cut down on support calls. Now that help desks have been exported, it may be cheaper to get support cals rather than give away a super application.
