Hi Heidi:

Sorry this took so long, But it took a while for me to find the program.
Voice Pad ftp://ftp.download.com/pub/win3/utilities/vpad.exe
5899591 bytes
I tried this program a while ago. It seemed like an OK program. Kind
of like the
difference between Word and Wordpad. Its not a full feature program. It
should work
but you'll have to cut/copy it from the program. If I remember correctly
it seemed like
Word or WordPerfect. The link above still seems active. I think its
Free, I never had
any nag screens. Hope this helps

Kurzweil VoicePad for Windows Release 1.0 October 22, 1996
=================================================================
1. Memory Requirements
Kurzweil VoicePad ships with a 12,000 word active vocabulary. This
includes 11,500 commonly spoken words and space for you to add 500 words
or commands. It requires 8 MB of DEDICATED RAM. This does not include the
memory required for the Windows operating system and any other
applications you may be running. Your applications and the operating
system typically require 8 MB of dedicated RAM. Consequently, you will
need a total of 16 MB of RAM to run Kurzweil VoicePad.

2. System Requirements
Kurzweil VoicePad may perform adequately on a 486 DX4/75 microprocessor
PC running Windows 3.1x, but a Pentium-based PC is required if you are
running Windows 95.

< Hi there everyone,
with a bad pain in my wrist I am a bit in trouble typing my e-mails =
these days. Heard there are dictation programs and would like to try =
such out. Unfortunately don't have a small fortune to spend on one that =
will work really great, so would be pleased if the one or other of you =
might be able to tell me about a reasonably good one that is freeware. I
=
tried the "usual" freeware download sites and could not find anything =
for free.
TIA
