Hi there...

There is something obviously not setup correct on your anti-virus software,
or your not checking Live-Update regularly. I have NAV 6, so your exact
options may differ...

Start NAV
Select Options
Select the Email Protection section
Put a checkmark in "Enable Email Protection"
In the list of email clients, put a check mark in all and hit OK

I use Eudora for my mail client, and NAV (with regular updates) has caught
well over 100 viruses sent to me over the last year.
