If I may add my .02 worth, the very best (and simplest, and smallest, not to
mention also free) registry backup program that I have seen on the 'net is a
little Dos batch program called "RegBak". It will back up not only your
registry, but also your other system files such as "config.sys,
autoexec.bat, system.ini, win.ini" and several others. You can restore all
of your system files from a dos prompt by just typing "fixit". I have used
this program on many machines and it has saved me time and time again!
Definitely a must have. The URL for download:
